The HoneyBook team swifty released a series of free resources to provide business owners with the information they needed to make the best decisions for the future of their business. This began with a business continuity plan, published on March 10, which outlined 18 steps to help mitigate the impact of the coronavirus outbreak. This included expert legal advice, client communication best practices and alternate revenue ideas. Subsequent blog posts covered everything from the CARES Act to mental health and a webinar series brought in experts to answer business owners’ financial, legal and marketing questions.
For HoneyBook members, these COVID-19 focused resources were seamlessly integrated into a new dashboard in their account. From there business owners can easily access sample legal clauses, which they can add to their contracts to protect future bookings, and email templates, to help navigate tough client conversations. The dashboard also made members aware of upcoming projects that were likely to be impacted by shelter-in-place restrictions. This insight allowed members to proactively reach out to clients, which helped increase postponements and decrease project cancellations, ultimately protecting their future revenue .
